Today on PatrickStewartWatch...
Feb. 15th, 2001 01:47 pmThe poor guy ran through our lobby tring to catch an elevator.
(He did-Pretty fast is our guy Patrick!!)
Yesterday he was waiting for the same elevator with a co-worker and said, *Insert gorgeous British accent* "This has got to be the Slowest elevator in the world!!!" (We at Rhymes-With-Stalker have that distinction: being possessed of the Slowest Elevator Ever. Many a celebrity has kindly pointed this out. We all agree, because it's true:)
Also some guy was trying to take his picture without asking and Mr Stewart gave him the finger.*Thunderous applause--Way to go, Patrick!!!!*
He eats up in the restaurant every day, with glasses and a book, looking out over snowy cold Mipple city. I wonder what he makes of it. Most of us, in the true Minnesotan style, don't bother him but sneak glances when we think he's not looking. We're even getting used to having him around a bit now. I'm thinking of writing him a polite note asking for an autograph to send in the Nothing-rhymes-with-Guthrie mail. (That way he can give one or not, whenever he likes, and I won't have bothered him while he's eating or resting.)
He seems cultured, and funny, and most polite aside from the finger incident. (which I think was
an aggravated ocasion.:)
It makes the world a more interesting place lately. Even though Mr. Stewart is just a guy, just as expected, wears jeans just like anybody, etcetera. It makes me smile, since I've always admired his work so much, to have him rambling around the place, running for the elevators, eating a cookie or something looking out over the Basilica, grumbling about the elevators...
Ms Fledermaus, harboring a benign crush on the poor man. *Blush* (Not a crush crush, more like a hero crush, the way I feel about Danny Elfman or Leonora Carrington...)
