Boo hoo
Nothing.
I even checked it was the genuine article, not a cheap copy, but it's marked on the back "Post-it Note".

Hmmm...
Date: 2001-03-07 12:48 pm (UTC)(I made J cry!!! And after all that bathing fun we had!!! Oh dear!!!! *concerned look.*)
There there...let's try a different smell, shall we? How about tape? Tape has that slightly sharp adhesive smell. Or ...How'zabout a big black Sharpie? That's distinctive, and it sure makes the night go faster, hah? (I'd recommend going easy on the big black sharpie, though. No huffing!!)
Ms Mausi, trying to comfort her dear ex-temp-husband..Ummm Tums? You can smell Tums, and they have banana flavor, even!
Re: Hmmm...
Date: 2001-03-07 02:45 pm (UTC)OK, tape (mine is a cheap nasty-smelling brand).
But what is "Sharpie"? It sounds like something to eat rather than office supplies, and as for "Tums"...
Funny office supplies story coming up.
I used to know an Australian girl. She worked on a small team for whom I was installing software. She was lively and forthright (i.e. Australian) but the rest of that team were middle aged women. They'd already taught her which swear words were acceptable and which weren't, as she had no inhibition about such matters. Then she really made their jaws drop. At the top of her voice, she said:
"Anyone got any Durex?"
She had no idea why they were shocked, because in Australia, Durex is sticky tape, not condoms.
*snicker*
Date: 2001-03-07 02:58 pm (UTC)Sharpies are a brand of permanent marker, used for just about everything. If you "Huff" them, you get high. (Don't, just don't.) Tums are a brand of stomach antacids that come in fruity flavors.(They all taste like chalk but smell like fruit.) I should have explained.:) so what do YOU use in your office?
Ms Mausi, chewing on a tums as we speak. (Mm! chalk!)

Date: 2001-03-08 07:29 am (UTC)My life plan is to live to (or past) 90, so with 30 years each of being young and old, I'm middle aged now at 36. It's marvellous! I get the impression from your posts that you're pretty comfortable with it too. Youth gets more than enough attention, old people have waved their flag for recognition, but there's not much said about us in the middle. Shall we campaign?

Date: 2001-03-09 06:48 am (UTC)Ms Mausi, singing, "Banana-fanna-fo-fanna" in your honor. No reason, just seemed a good idea at the time, like euroDisney. (smirk)
