Fighting the library computers...
Feb. 18th, 2002 01:16 pmThe keyboard's balky, so if this is hard to read blame the hardware.:) (Plus creepy guys keep coming over and asking me to "help" them with their computers. I'm giving them by *best* glare.) But the coffeehouse down the street from me took out their little netstations, and I still have some hardware work that needs doing on the computer at home. Rassing frassing public terminal stuff...but at least I'm not coughing up tons of money for a crappy terminal. (Or one that's covered in someone's grande latte.)
So far the weekend's been good--I went to the opening and had the gratification of seeing a couple of coworkers have their mouths drop open when I came in. (I clean up gooood, babies.)I love the infrequent times I dress for something:) the opening itself was full of interesting pieces and commentary, but it was incredibly packed with people, very tight manuvering in places.
I still had a cool time, and have a mini-slinky to show for it.
I finished inking the mirrors piece, and did a small practice picture on some new Bristol board I bought. Lots of cleaning in general this weekend since I had the time and energy.
this is becomeing a strange day--Most of the way here I walked with an old friend who I ran into at a coffeeshop. He kept grabbing my shoulders and yelling, "she's my GIRL-friend!!" when some drunk guys were being uncouth in my direction. (It's endearing, he's incredibly and quite loudly gay, so I kept snickering everytime he did it.) I had to scold him several times for pretending to be an iguana in public and we discussed Taoism and sufiism probably louder than we should have:)
I wish I had more time to reply to stuff in my e-mail this weekend...bastard MircoSloth kept giving me their "illegal action" crap and kicking me off everytime I wanted to delete something.
(I love the Macs..THEY never threaten you like that!! *sniff*)
So there you are...my weekend ramblings.
