Sushitime was very good yesterday...cold getting there and back, but all that nice warm sake really made the difference. *happy sigh* Virginia and I are contemplating some kind of sushi party in the spring. Ah, the joys of wasabi!!! (We experimented with various wasabi-eating techniques and admired the screwed-up-faces, buggy eyes and Ninja noises we each produced with very bite.)

I had a brainstorm coming in to work this morning...I keep thinking about how I would write the dream I had the other day. (the piratey one.) I think it might be enough for a short story...and it could be kinda funny if I do it right.
What would you think if I put up chapters for you all to have a look at as I write it, bit by bit? (Kind of like the Maus Noir day I did, except it would be a more stretched-out process.) It won't be exactly Wuthering Heights, but I'll give it my best shot...

Although I love spicy food (hell, I'm from New Orleans!) I eat my sushi plain with the occasional dab of soy. I really like that Vietmanese red chili sauce, though. My favorite sushi restaurant (alas, it's in New Orleans and I miss it so!) often puts that red sauce on various dishes. The wasabi used in most places isn't real wasabi but merely horseraddish and green food coloring.

Heh, they're afraid of me, those copiers...they KNOW the last repair guy gave me a really nifty pair of foreceps and instructed me in their use! (Muahahahahahaaa!!!)
