I still got a bit of a cough...which is why I got:

A turkey sandwich
from Restaurant of the Beast
and some cheesecake.*grin*

Cheesecake is a soverign cold remedy, you know...no, really...stop giggling.

I also had an unsatisfying debate with a guy in the breakroom who insisted our species would evolve to be generally brighter and more benevolent and balanced. I kept having to explain basic evolutionary theory to explain why this is not a given at all, that evolution doesn't make you "all that you can be, " that it chooses what's the best suited for whatever environmental factors are around it and that does not necessarily mean intelligence. (He kept interrupting me too, and either didn't get it or flat-out denied what I was saying had any relevance to his views, etcetera...) I'm more annoyed than I should be, it was just a stupid breakroom yakking session...

those sorts of conversations always frustrate me more than they ought to as well... :/ I just hate it when I'm more than willing to discuss something with someone, listening to and allowing the other person to have their opinions, and then have them cut me off and tell me I'm just flat out wrong... grrr... it's so disrespectful!!!

hehe... :) anyway, sorry that happened... maybe we should send him glittery stuffs in the mail... maybe the bright shiney lights will dazzle him and hypnotize him and we can then make him into a better person... *giggle* :)

I had a friend who insisted once that we would evolve to be better looking. I pointed out that ugly people have as many children as the beautiful, probably more.

Maybe he was hoping for some improvement in his own case. 8~)

Ok – you’re going to laugh, but what the hell..
Sam’s club (yeah I know) sells a cheesecake that is actually a whole bunch of different pieces and flavors of cheesecakes made into one.
Believe it or not, it is some of the best cheesecake. Try it… you will stop laughing.
