You know, it occurs to me that my life has definitely had it's hazards. Last night I was talking to my mom and she mentioned the *other* fire I was in when I was a teenager. This made me think of other times I've been danger-prone.

The list goes something like this:

Various near-drownings between the ages of 1 and 5. (I'm a much better swimmer now.)
Burning my fingers as a toddler on the stove.
Getting pneumonia when I was 3. (I hallucinated for a couple of days...Cartoon skeletons tap-dancing on the walls in front of me. Damn you, Walt Disney!!)
My stupid brother shooting me in the leg with a bow and arrow when I was 12.(Rassing frassing kid brother arrgh...)
A big fire at a senior citizen's complex I worked in as a teenager. (Of course I was working that day.) It burned to the ground, but nobody was hurt.
Nearly going off a 20 foot cliff after the car skidded out on some ice. *whew!*
Holding off two would-be-muggers with an empty Arizona tea bottle.(They got scared and ran away. I'm a mean Maus.)
Choking on a lamb-kebab two years ago. (I heimliched myself over the table, and it saved my life.)

And of course, my little adventure this weekend...I keep telling people, "NOOO, I DIDN'T do it!!! I had nothing to do with it!!!" My friends don't belive me...*grin*

And maybe we shouldn't go near large bodies of water, stoves, Disney movies, absolutely no archery, no cars near ice or cliffs, and no kebobs whatsoever.

Wow...you're the real Danger Girl! You're either immortal or a danger magnet. You must have more than nine lives because this week was your tenth, although burning your fingers isn't life threatening. Please be careful! I want to see you again soon!

You're either very lucky or very unlucky... When I was two, I almost fell down a two story laundry chute... Luckily I got scared and hung on... My 5 year old thought I was going to die. He was quoted as saying "We'll never get another one!"

He lived:) But he's got a glass eye.
I think he was about 12 when it happened - he and two friends had made bows and arrows and then one of the others shot him in the eye - by accident, of course! Ow...

Yep, bows and arrows can be dangerous like that. I'm glad your pop lived to tell the tale. *shudder*
