My favorite is the one where they go to the moon insearch of cheese. I just love that little vending machine alien.

It looked like a stove, but it took coins, so I was completely baffled. Oh, and the drawers!!! They baffled me too!

It was fairly common at one time to have to put coins in a meter to pay for gas, so it's not such a leap to putting them in the cooker.

The usual word here is cooker. The word stove usually occurs in the phrase "gas stove".
