Holy Mother of Sheboygan!!!

That's the skinny so far--the 6 inches of snow we were supposed to get has now been racketed up to 14 inches. (Runs out to dock and looks at the blinding white)

For those of you who are non-midwesteners, well...we do get snow in March. Generally not a lot of it. Certainly not more accumulation than we've seen all year in one go.

The bosses are figuring out if they should let us all go home early because the real blizzard's supposed to hit at rush hour. *Crosses fingers* Pleaaase please please...

We're supposed to get snow too... and if we do, it'll be a record of sorts... Since 1941 the latest it's snowed here was March 10th...

wow...wonder if it's the same front?

Our front is a combo thing... like it always is here in the NW... the arctic air is pushing down from canada (we're prolly sharing that bit) but the moisture is coming from off the ocean, down from the gulf of alaska... you get our left over moisture, usually... :)

What makes it over the mountains, yeah:)
(and the lakes generate more moisture, too, when they're not frozen over.)

It was so weird to me when I was in Oklahoma last year, to watch the weather people... they knew what the weather was going to do and practically knew WHAT TIME it would hit... lol... here in the NW, the best anyone can do is about an 80% accuracy rate... and that's WITH all the latest nifty gadgets like satallites and doplar and stuff... :)

Yeah, we're like that too...don't know what we've got until it's on top of us.

6" of snow? YOWZA!

I hereby promise to enjoy the sunshiney (although HIGHLY wind-ified) weather here in Los Angeles on behalf of everyone who experiences snow today.

And... um, Sheboygan? You're getting a former-midwesterner (Wisconsin, in fact) all misty for the old days...
