msfledermausI'm just guzzling a mocha and figuring out where to go shopping for a birthday present for my friend's party this afternoon. (I have...a cunning plan....)
I've missed having a chance to just put in a real entry instead of the 30-second bits between working and whatever.
This week has been so hectic, you have no idea...well, maybe you do. But for some reason all the financial stuff's lining up neatly in a row for me recently. It's scary, but I will *not* complain, not at all...
*sways a little to some Beatles on the speakers*
Whups, lost me some Goth points there...(But I can regain them--they worked in a really seedy bar in Hamburg, hooked up with the black-leather arts scene with Astrid and got booted out of the country by the dictatorial bar-owner...how Cabaret can you get?)
There is a small chance someone I don't want to talk to might be at this party...I'm a little nervous about the possibility, but I'm still going. (I rsvp'd, the other person did not.) I still have a lot of sad and angry feelings all mixed up with that part of recent history, but they're more managable these days.I'm grateful for that. Last Fall was so very, very hard.
Anyway, it's a lovely spring day outside, and I'm going to run around and count all the flowers I see...*Inhales happily*

Date: 2002-04-13 03:03 pm (UTC)I was in a fairly seedy bar in Hamburg once at about 2 a.m. without knowing that I was just across the street (alleyway) from where the Beatles played. I only found out when the bloke I was there with went back to Hamburg. Some Germans said he should see the place, and he said "I've been here before!"
