Up on the rooftop Mauses pause...
Apr. 17th, 2002 09:06 amOne of the perks of living where I do is a communal rooftop terrace where the whole city's spread out before you like a map.
It was open last night, and my neighbors Ben and Jennifer and I had a few beers and watched the sun go down. The seagulls went to sleep and little brown bats wheeled in the sky chasing the gnats. Beautiful. It was so hard to wrench myself away from the view and the wind, but I was expecting a phonecall, so down I went after about 8:30. (good thing too--the rains kicked in while I was on the phone.)
So now I'm cheerful and rested from the dropped temperatures and the rain.
*stretches out arms and sighs happily*
