Fire revisited....

msfledermaus....the doors the firemen have kicked down have mostly been replaced now. The apartment that caught fire's still boarded up.
This morning I looked into the dumpster the Insurance guys put out to throw the ruined doors and frames and such.
They've started to throw out the burnt belongings of the woman whose apartment it was. A badly singed papa-san chair. What looks like a twisted air-conditioner. Clothing. It was very sobering, very heartbreaking. She literally lost everything she owned.
I feel lucky not to have been in the same boat. There but for the grace of some really good fire-walls go I.....
