BTW, the universe is an octopus, so it only has eighticles. Of course, this means it can squirt ink, change colour, and squeeze through *very* small holes.

Hardware--there's an older modem in the tower so the computer won't recognize the newer modem I plugged in. This weekend I'm going to take the back off and see if I can't get the old one out myself. (I've been reluctant because I rememebr how hard it was for my old boyfriend to get the back off, and I wasn't sure what the modem looked like. Now I've at least got a description of where it should be...)
