Goodish news...
Sep. 30th, 2002 08:00 pm...My dad is home, and wrapped up in a black satin sling my mom made for him. He's got 42 stitches, a bone fragment and/or a tooth imbedded somewhere, and enough antibiotics to knock out a cow...
It took forever to find an official who was willing to help them, but they finally got a guy whose own child was mauled by a dog and was sympathetic. People are working on it, but the dog has still not been removed from this guy's property. (I know what you're thinking, and I'm thinking it too: This should be a no-brainer. Dog bites, get it impounded, check for rabies! Sadly in parts of Missouri this is not the case....)
I'm having a quiet night, just so very glad Dad's going to be okay.
I'm a grateful Maus.

There is no way a dog should be premitted to terrorize people like that and the owner should have to pay. And invest in some proper training or give up the dog.

I took a peek at your lj and added you on my friend's list:)
*Very* good points about animal breeding, very well-informed and thoughtful. *nods head thoughtfully*

Date: 2002-09-30 07:22 pm (UTC)The sad thing is I've been looking twice at large dogs today..and I love them; been raised with them all my life. Now I look and think of my dad for a minute. But just a minute. I'm sure finding a couple of nice neighborhood dogs to pat will cure all that.
