Bedtime stories with Ms Mausi!
Oct. 8th, 2002 08:44 pm....All tucked in? Hot chocolate ingested and whatnot? Excellent, here we go...
...Once upon a time there was a sock monkey who lived in a small yet garishly decorated apartment somewhere in the Midwest. A charming and happy red-bottomed creature was he, and yet he was downcast...for Halloween was arriving fast, and no costume appealed to him...He'd done the organ-grinder's monkey, the Monkey in the banana-plantation, the Monkey chased the Weasel...but this year he needed something more interesting!!!
So he moped. and sketched. and moped and listened to the Smiths and moped some more..until...Inspiration!!! So he whispered into the little pointy ears of Ms Mausi in her role as the Maus in the yellow hat. And when she awoke, Ms Mausi couldn't help but think, "If I made little wings for my sock monkey, he could be a flying Monkey from the Wizard of Oz!!! How cool would that be?"
And she set to work with pliers, an old pair of nylons and a heapin' helping of glitter...And voila!!! "Flyyy, monkey!!!! FLYYYY!" she yelled as she tossed her monkey hither and yon around the room...
And he was a very happy monkey indeed...
But Ms Mausi had an evil thought..and then anothe rand another..and then she decided she was hungry..and then had more evil thoughts...and then she knocked the glitter over and had to vacuum for some time....
that's all you get tonight. But soon, more tales of the Flying Monkey Airborne Infantry...
