More Sock-Monkey-Melodrama!!!

msfledermausOkay, I'm ready for another segment of the exciting Monkey Story I Make Up As I Go...(couldn't do it on Friday because I was out, and Saturday I was hanging around with friends. I'm sure glad you waited.)
*Opens up the book to the page with the pictures of winged sock-creatures flying in a direct line towards Minneapolis*
...The Sock-critters with the jet-fueled wings were in formation and making their way to Minneapolis for reasons known only to them. The Air Force was scrambled, and at first got confused and reported many Gremlin sightings before their eyes would focus. William Shatner had a screaming fit as a small chorus line of sock monkeys with glitter wings started a spirited can-can on the wing of his plane, singing the Moulin-Rouge version of "Entertain Us" by Nirvana. Small children kept pointing at the sky and giggling. Lemurs made lemur noises in zoos everywhere...
...But at home, oblivious to the rapidly-closing fluff-laden flying force, the Maus in the Yellow hat was having a Serious Talk with her sock monkey, who was smiling beatifically out the window.
"Hey, there's tons of charges on my phone bill!!! Why are there so many for a K.Pok. Island? I don't speak Kapocian!!!"
The Maus glared at the monkey...who sat and smiled.
"And why is there extra glitter all over my floor? I know for a FACT I haven't used the fuscia stuff yet, and it's all over my worktable!!! Speak up, dammit!"
Sitting....
Smiling....
"And another thing, you....You're awfully quiet these days...we never talk anymore, and that hurts me!!! Ever since you got your new wings all you do is sit and stare out the window and SMILE all the time!!! Answer me!!! What's on your mind? hah?"

Waiting......
