No monkeys tonight; just some quiet time, I think.
(I'll be more of a mood for monkeys later on this weekend, I guarantee.) Work has been quiet and sad...most of us are Wellstone supporters.

Even with how sad today's been and how frenzied work's been, I'm still glad I have my vacation. And it starts...

Right now.

I will be. It's hard, though, Wellstone was so good and wonderfully stubborn and true...
It's like losing a favorite uncle.

Yeah, Wellstone was one of a kind. His wife Sheila was fantastic too, big defender against domestic violence.

*siigh*

I will enjoy my vacation..I have new bath goop specifically called "happy"...let's see if it lives up to the name!

One of my lecturers played a big part in rewriting NZ's domestic violence legislation (quite recently) - we had a pilot program here in Hamilton that she organised (in the early 90s) that was based on the Duluth program. There would be quite a few people here who are better off thanks in large part to work done in Minnesota.

I can't find the right words.

(((M_an_on)))

They would have been very touched to know their work helped so many people so far away as well as at home.

*nods sobery*
Your lecturer sounds like a great person.
