I'm sitting here at Low Delta's ergonomically correct yet frustrating keyboard, full of rice chex and soon to have coffee...mmm, coffee. so now that I'm awake and washed and fed I can give you a brief travelog sofar. (I'm stealing this from Ms Amphigorey, but hey, good ideas should go as far as humanly possible. Love you, Ms. Phiggy!)

8 am yesterday: Saw the crows in Loring park harrasing the largest urban hawk I've ever seen...wow, was he a big thing. (She? One of the conservatory people says it's female.)
Got on my bus without any trouble and tried hard not to stare at the Amish family getting on the bus next to mine.

8:45-5:30 Rode and rode and rode. Read and read and read. Ate french fries. Read and read and napped. Talked briefly to someone starting over and headed for St Petersburg, Florida.

5:30 Was picked up by two very familiar faces. Yaay! Lots of hugging:) Piled into car to figure out what we might like to do, and head for a Ramada to borrow their phone book for the number of a vintage clothing store in town to check before dinner. Saw a man run to the doors of the Ramada with two men behind him, one of them carrying a--broomstick? Possibly a pipe? The man with the pipe proceeds to beat the running man right in the Ramada lobby, as we watch across the parking lot in horror while still in the car. We come to the consensus that the car was the safest place to be, that the hurt man was very smart for headed for a place full of people and that we'd only get in the way of the cops and paramedics that were sure to come. I hope that guy's going to be okay.

6-ish Went to dinner at the Dancing Ganesha...a very nice place to recover from something scary like that. The lamb was very tasty, and so was the house Merlot. Freekee did this fascinating disappearing act with our check. Freekee, you sneak!!!

7 ish: Casa de Freekee,with...Pie. Pie....Piepiepiepiepie!

The rest of the night:Goofing around online, getting frustrated as a group about LJ's balkiness. Catching up, and finally going to bed around 11 since we have a parade later this morning outside Freekee's door, complete with camels. How often does that happen when you have guests, that they're greeted by camels in the morning?? I'm feeling loved, that's all I have to say about it:)
