I've been having a great time catching up tonight. And I have new pals to add to my never-ending friend's list:) Welcome to Fledermansion, where the tiki torches are always lit and the Gothic Hula goes on and on....

The firewalkers are getting sleepy, though...time to hose them down with a little Freon and send them to bed.

Hey, someone get that sock monkey away from the Trench of Flaming Coals!

I have, about this time last year I was in a group show called "toys" at Argyle Zebra, and prsented about 8 dolls. Two sold, which made me very happy:)

AZ hasn't been doing open shows anymore, so I've been scrabbling around for other galleries to show in. (Granted it's winter and I'm sluggish:)

aww..that's too bad...I wonder if they still have those shows at the malls like Harmar and the Mall of America for those things..or I would think The State Fair, Grand Old Days might another opportunity..but those are in the summer

Har Mar's okay, but I'd die under a welter of screaming women and children at the Sprawl:)

Otherwise I still do a little custom work from time to time for people, or small shows in coffee shops and whatnot. (I just got paid for a painting this weekend.) Worst comes to worst I'll co-op some space with some other artists and gets some advertising in for one of the art crawls.

I might have one coming up in April, of the organizer gets back to me.

and Uptown...ooog...I can't afford the over $1000 cover charge for space, plus booth and tent rental and whatnot. IF they deign to let the likes of me into their art fair anyway. Maybe I'll try Powderhorn.

and of course you're thinking of summer events..imagine being outside with a tent right now:) Brrrr!

yeah I know..sorry..that is too bad about Uptown..I guess with everything..there are large fees and such with prestigous events..too bad..I was there last yr to see a free concert actually. But I must say I would have liked to have spent more time seeing the displays.

let me know if you have the chance to be at Powderhorn..sounds familiar..probably 1 of like 30 or 40 events that I saw listed on www.musicscene.org events list..my friend John I'm sure knows or has brought it up b4.

goodluck with it

The Flaming Sock Monkeys sounds like a good name for a band.

I missed the hula dance and tiki torches! I could have used the warmth of the hot coals too.
