fun at the KittyKatClub...

The other Oak Grovesters and I went out to the KittyKatClub in dinkytown lat night to see Opiate of the Masses, and incredibly good Beat Poetry band. I covet that whole space, and everything in it. It looks like someone like, well, me, heh,attacked the place viciously with various design elements and bizarre sculptures and large plush antique chairs and did some serious damage before being carted off to the funny farm. The band was really incredibly funny, complete with berets and saxophone. I went a little heavy on the caffeine, so I had trouble sleeping again. My tolerance ain't what it used to be for the cola mojo, that's for sure.

I also ran into Ruby Slippers and her gentleman out on a date. (Did I mention this place is THE place to take a date? True fact.) I got invited to be in an upcoming exhibition in October, and we sat around and giggled and sketched and schmoozed.

All in all, it was a nice way to end the weekend. We now return you to Dante's Minimalist Inferno, already in progress.

Well, if I actually exhibited for everything I'd been invited to that didn't get changed or fell through or closed before my chance, I'd be all over town...I take invites like that with a grain of salt since it might not come together.
