Eating: Chocolate banana bread.

Reading: A new knitting book, checking out the tunics.

There's a big gap in the window between the a/c and the outside i have to plug up somehow...last year's guy didn't do this:( Plus he was supposed to fix a window rattle, and never came back to do it. I fixed the rattle with some foam I had around.

this company isn't the most competent I've ever seen. :((((

ugh... that is utterly lame.
Window ac units scare me.

hey, it's all I can swing price wise...I own the unit that's in there. I wish I didn't need it, though.

Oh definitely.
I grew up w/o AC (in Maryland known for their 90+ muggy Augusts it isn't a pleasant thing) because of the fundage issue...
The window things just scare me cuz of the random space/potential to fall factor.

yeah, me too....but it beats being without. I just wish our houses were built to handle heat better--I've seen structures from India where the architect did some clever things to deal with the high temperatures.

I have an aunt who grew up in Jamiaca... the homes there were also more designed to let air flow through.

Brick homes sans ac are not designed that way, at least in the burbs.

The Jamaican houses sound really good...I suppose here it's a trade-off for insulation for winter or air for summer. *shrugs*
