Eating: Cold pizza for breakfast. (I'm out of milk. Again.)

Reading: "The Heartbreak Trilogy" by Evan Dorkin, and/or the new Acoutrements catalog.

Knitting: The last sleeve of my first sweater. The last sleeve, I tell ya! Woowoo!

Thinking: How I need to stop looking at the Acoutrements catalog and drooling over the Devil Ducky shower curtains.



The word for today, beloved Mauseteers, is...Fantavision!



And me? I'm off to the Minimalist Inferno again...We're constructing a new lava-pit for all the Cubists, and the intern-demons keep stealing my two-wheeler. I'll keep you posted.

Hey, the Portuguese pirates taught the Japanese brothel girls how to knit, so apparently there was *some* pirate knitting going on...and it's hell to keep your stripey stockings nice on the high seas. yarr!!!

And you wouyld be looking for the flagon with the dragon, it holds the brew that is true...

Nope, it's true...I was looking up the history of knitting online and there was a section about asian knitting. the Portuguese traders brought it over to Japan when they opened their ports. (Pirates sometimes either joined the traders or raided them coming out) Apparently in Europe the guys knitted as often as the women...which makes a kind of sense if you need clothes for a family.

Eventually the Samurai took it up and became famous for their knitting--inlcuding museum pieces they had on their site. I have to find that link and put it up, because it was such an interesting thing to find...

I liked your joke!! I got it, I did!!! I just put down the misspellings to pirate attack:)
