The attack of the 50-pound book...
Jul. 31st, 2003 07:55 amOkay, it wasn't *that* heavy, but when I toted my new copy of "The Order of the Phoenix" home from work it felt like I was smuggling construction materials or something. I also had the new Wendy Froud and Terri Windling book, called, "the Fairies of Spring Cottage"...It's really sweet and touching:) Anyway, with two books and a knitting bag in my backpace the way home was slooower than usual...
And I spent the entire night reading through Order of the Phoenix--I got home, plunked down my stuff, shucked off my shoes, made hotdogs and grabbed a glass of milk, and read...until 11:30. Wow. It was like watching the second half of "Titanic", where you feel cold and horrified and deeply sad. This is a DAMN good book.
Not even any knitting, I tell ya...just the book:)
