The sound of planes outside is both soothing and a very little nerve-wracking at the same time today.

I feel like this anniversary's always going to be nerve-wracking and strange...I'm going to work to sit at the same desk and log on to the same computer...how could I not expect on some level to see the same images, over and over?
Especially sionce the novelty's worn off a bit and we're in our current geopolitcial situation..(a polite way of saying, "since Dubya screwed everything up so damn badly...")

How is everybody today?

I'm doing ok. It does feel kind of strange today. Less traffic, a few fearful thoughts creeping in...

It's a picture perfect day in NYC. I spent part of the morning watching the ceremonies from Ground Zero. A difficult day, indeed.

Unfortunately, the more scared we are about future terrorism as opposed to fear fo unemployment, Bush gets a free pass back into the White House to translocate more billions that could have insured our poor children or rebuilt our infrastructure. I mourn for our 3000 dead in Washington and NYC, but I reserve the right to mourn for the 30,000 dead Iraqis, too, since at least 29,999 of them had nothing to do with 9/11.
