You know something?
Sep. 26th, 2003 08:10 amQueer Eye for the Straight guy before bed gives you very strange dreams...I dreamed I was helping the Person of the week. He was freaking out on his lovely new couch about his evening soiree, and Ben the neighbor, Peter and I were all trying to calm him down and trying to find the right kind of dishes for dinner and where to put the glasses and such. I woke up tired from all the deep-sleep decorating. (Granted some of that was getting some kind of hone call at 6 am...I didn't pick it up, and they didn't leave a message. *grumble*)
Some of this may well be in our future, since Ben and Pete have a party planned for Saturday and I'm assisting in the curry arena. Green. With chicken, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and a little basil. You want it, you know it!!
I'm almost done with the front and back of a new sweater I'm trying out. Sleeves next.
Sweaters take a longish time, but they're worth it. (It's now cold enough to wear my first attempt..which I have. It fits and is cute and warm...all three sweater criteria have been met!) Ahh, soothing soothing knitting. I needed something like this for a long time. I'm glad I stumbled on that old BUST magazine with the beginner's how-to for starting to knit. (the article had leg-warmers...but I'm not really that 80's, really.)
Natter natter natter...here's a news flash--I have Rasputina tickets! for October 14th, I believe. I'm going with a passel of pals, but I have a couple of extra comps. Who wants to go with the Maus, hah? (I thought about having a "Win a dream date with a Maus" contest, but this is simpler. Though not as funny.)
Anyway, gotta go form the Friday conga line....
