Slept...a lot...

Enjoyed the warmer weather.

Went shopping with Ben the Neighbor and Pipa Pete, taking them to the shadiest rock-and-roll-t-shirt place I could think of. (We were getting ready to see Peaches.) Ben got a guns n' roses t-shirt, and I bought two, count em, two Bauhaus t-shirts. And we giggled at all the faded KISS banners and calendars:)

Had lunch together at TGI Fridays. We were joined first by Lakesha in her swell fedora and pinstriped pants, then by some dubious drunek mack-daddy, who we all yelled at when he tried to touch her. Why do these people always find us?!?

Made a journey to Depth of Field. Got everybody hooked on yarn. Very very very hooked. Then ran over to Magus books in their new location, and the cool Indian shop next door, where Ben bought a new Kali sculpture and I bought a skirt.

Taught everyone how to knit. Undid tangles. Rescued lost stitches. giggled a lot.

Went to Peaches. Great opening band, great show. Ran into most of the coworkers I actually like a lot there. Dodged flung beer bottle or two. Stayed out of way of fistfight in middle of the floor. Rested achy feet on chair rung and waved and yelled with everyone. Woowoo!

Cleaned. Remebered things I should have done, people I should have called...D'ohhhh. Knitted small baby-hat for coworker. fought double-pointed needles. Felt like I was knitting with a porcupine. Actually got the hang of it eventually.

Spent most of today watching "Star Trek" and knitting long drapey scarf with Ben the Neighbor. Teach him how to purl. Rescue stiches. Rescue yarn from cat. Pet cat sitting on lap and remaining yarn.

Ate dinner. Goofed off online. Patiently untangling skein of grape-colored drapey feathery stuff.

*gets very tangled, peers out from grapey halo of yarn...

Yep, same crappy but spendy building, same shady Asian guy who sidles up and tries to give you deals on t-shirts and god knows what else.. Same 16k gold jewelry in the cases that have been there for at least 20 years. Same display in the window, gathering more and more dust with every year:)

beijing!!! Woowoo! I'm so psyched for you, ma'am!!! You'll have the best time, I bet:D

Well, not that big--the Triple Rock is a hellhole of a nightclub.
(She does come to First Avenue sometimes...and I hear ?Germans love Peaches, juuuust like they love David Hasselhoff. *snicker*)

It was a fun show, that's for sure...even with the breaking beer bottles all over.
