Okay, Day 2 of Moving Week at work....

I'm....okay, not really ready, but at leat today I can start packing because there's no mail service today. Thanks, Veteran's day!!

Granted, I'll have one person nagging me to try to run mail today anyway...because he's a bully. The worst kind of bully; the kind that's frustrated there's nobody lower than him to pick on, so he makes everyone's life just that much more miserable. He's the main reason this week's so hard.
*Breathes in slowly, breathes out*

It's okay, though. I have stuff planned after work that'll be good to do. I'll take things slow and try to cultivate a nice Zen-like calm...And if that doesn't work, there's always the krazy-glue and thumbtacks.

Milwaukee didn't deliver mail on Monday. They did deliver today (Tues) but when I went to the Wauwatosa Post Office to mail something they were closed for Veteran's Day. Do municipalities get to make up their own mind now?

That's really weird...last time I checked postal stuff was national, but the local little stations were having trouble. Maybe I can catch our carrier today and ask him about it.
*scratches head*

Could even be something like they ran into a big technical problem or something. That would slow things down for a day...

Yes, mail is national and I brought the mystery on myself. I assumed Veteran's Day was a Monday holiday (since I didn't go to work I had no reality to test it against.) Then because I assumed there would be no mail, I didn't look. Tuesday I assumed there was so I looked in the mailbox and found mail--not realizing it was left over from Monday. Then I went off to the Post Office and found them closed.

It shows how willing I am these days to accept that the government would do some strange thing!
