Lunch: bagel with cream cheese, carrots, pomegranate, knitting. No, I do not eat the knitting. Check.

Book: Anthology of De Lint short stories. Check.

Caffeine: Good Earth Chai, nice and portable. Check!

Shoes, socks, hat, gloves etcetra...check check. *siigh*

The things I don't have: A nice Prozak Icee, some super-industrial body armor, a small cattleprod. Granted I do have some packing tape in one of those really shark dispensers....

(My evil cow irker's coming back today after nearly two weeks out. He was disciplined for a yelling fit he had at me in front of several coworkers. One more freakout on his part and he's out of a job. This doesn't guarantee that he won't try to make my job as unpleasant as possible. I plan to do a lot of "Errands" that'll take me away from the mailroom for a while...)

Oh yeah, and the long weekend left me a *lot* of work to catch up on...the Prozak Icee's for me...

Ha! I mean, "oops". Next time I'll have to lable the cups better, but you know how marker kind of rubs off a wet cup.

*Visions of "Office Killer" dancing in my head for some reason.*

Don't forget to keep your knitting needles within reach -- never know when you may need them.

Have you given any thought to knitting with kevlar strands? Could be relaxing and strategic. Stylish and functional. ;)

That would be really neat...I've aready knitted with wire...it would be very similar. I'd just need to have good strong needles so they don't get too beat up.

How gothic Industrial...now to find the stuff:)

If you DO find the stuff and figure out a technique that works, sign me up for a pair of longjohns....for some reason us Production Supervisors are the first ones mentally unstable employees come looking for...also, it would come in handy to offer some protection from the multiple knives I have to extract from my back each night. ;)
