Wearing: New black sweater, black tights. Olive plum-branch patterned skirt, new black socks. I am Stealthy Camoflage-Maus!
Eating: Bagel and nice iron-filled multivitamin.
Drinking: Vanilla hazelnut tea with milk and honey.
Listening to: Concrete Blonde. I just like their vampire songs.
Thinking: It's time to concregate the scary willow branches in my apartment to make the Spooky X-mas Tree I make every year. I usually hang it with ornaments, paper toys, plastic spiders and geegaws and ribboms and gimcracks. Why didn't I do it yet? Good question...
Also thinking: Of a few books I should read one of these days; usually excellent thoughtful books about how many ways everybody in this country who isn't rich gets the thumbscrews put to them. Cheerful holiday reading, yes indeedy...
Still also thinking: Of presents to mail, presents to deliver, needing more giftwrap and maybe a new ornament or two for the Spooky X-mas tree. Some nice candles for the Solstice. Basically I'm running through shopping lists in my pointy little head.
Wishing: I can get some time to put in the time off I need, that I get some time to start a project I've been putting off, that my arm would stop hurting. (It's not bad, just very stiff and sore from catching me the other day.)
The usual holidy Thirtysomethng list, really: Did I get everything done, Do I still have some brain cells to rub together, and when will I get some downtime?...
