I'm just goofing off a little before I call my cab and have my hot date with the security guards at the airport. (I don't expect anything weird, I mean, last time I flew I had a sock-monkey in my carry-on and they didn't open the bag...just gave me the strangest looks as it went through the x-ray. This time I don't even have a monkey in my bag, fer cryin' out loud.)

Sadly I have no knitting...I figured it wasn't worth it for them to potentially take away my pretty toys for an hour trip...so I'm taking a book. I thought of taking Order of the Phoenix, but that might count as luggage. (I hope the next book has handles.) I'll just loot the shelves and see what might look good for a trip. Or buy some horrifying thing in the gift shop or something:P

I just hope my replacement at work is going to be okay...the postage meter had a separation-anxiety-fueled breakdown yesterday, so my new trainee has a repairman to deal with first thing in the morning.
He'll have to field all the "You KNOW you need a new meter, right?" questions and try to remember who gets what and try to hide from people bringing him projects. Yeaaaaah, I'm happy it isn't me today, lemme tell ya....

So be good, keeds....I'll check in if I can while I'm in Scraggittown, but just in case, see you when I get back sunday night!

As ok as they can be, I guess.

I still haven't gotten around to getting that book. I did read my ex's copy, though. I posted a review of sorts awhile back. I'd be curious what you think when you're done with it.

I already finished my copy a couple of times...I've just been working my way through them again, since the new movie's due out soonish.

As for what I thought? Whoooo....Grim stuff. Some parts I was going, "if I was a kid I'd be soooo freaked out!" I kept seeing all-too-familiar parallels with our political situation, and I 've reached for the Kleenex every damn time I read the ending. And I can't wait for the last two books.

Hey, you going to be home tonight? I feel like pestering people over the phone. Muahahaha! No skeezy phone sex, I promise.

I pretty much sat there wanting them to focus on lupin and the punk mage or even the goofy girl more than Harry. He was such a whiner through it all I wanted to bop 'im on the head. It was a good book though.

I'll be home, but you might want to call later in the evening. I've got that airport thing at 2:15 and they swear it's going to take 4 to 4 and a half hours. So I might not be back until 7:30. Call whenever you feel like it.

Ugh...don't remind me. That girl messaged me again the other night on a different account. I asked her who she was and she told me her name. I didn't remember it. She got mad. I told her I thought the name was fake. She got more mad and said talking to me was no fun. So, I asked if talking to me was no fun then why was she talking to me. So she stopped. It was pretty funny.

*shakes head*

The girl really sounds like a bored psycho...
not like er...me....*chuckle*
Okay okay, at least I don't pester strange men for something to do. I have a feeling she's gonna pop up again, just because. eew.

The Milwaukee airport has a used book store (at least I HOPE it's still there.) I've bought paperbacks after I checked in, and then felt free to dispose of them when I've finished.

A friend tells me she was flying from California and a passenger stood up about halfway and said "I'm finished with this book. Does anyone want to trade?" Marty replied that she had 25 pages left and if he wanted to wait she would like the book. They exchanged a bit later.

I bought the new Michael Moore book, and that held me spellbound for the trip there and the trip back:)

Mrs Scraggit says hi, btw. She's feeling much better.
