I finally got some of my lovely lovely yarn, and am 3/4 of the way through the first Jolly Roger potholder. I worked on the front while hanging out with Mr Savage on the phone, and I'm knitting in the red and black stripeys for the back as I type this.

*drops keyboard a minute, does a few stitches, goes back to typing*

...

I like the fact that spring is finally creeping up on us all...it's lighter and lighter every time I wake up at 7 am to slog to work.
I just wish the weather would get the hint and stop dropping snow on us every day...Granted it's really pretty. Especially when the sun peeps out while it's snowing and the world is covered in diamonds all of a sudden.

...

For a small handful of reasons, I feel...okay...about things in general. Better than lately. Better than I expected recently.
It helps that I'm taking vitamins, eating spinach and beef and whatnot, stretching out muscles. Sketching. Thinking of things I want to do. Spring is really coming, and that helps a lot. I kept dreaming of large armfuls of roses, so I think I need to buy myself some flowers this week if it makes my subconscious that happy....

...

*Knit knit knitty knit knit*

At this rate, I should have the potholders finished and photographed by the end of the week easy. yarr....

I hope you get the chance to live in a warmer climate at some point. Are you the type of person who won't leave because of family, or friends? I was lucky...to escape Mn. before I was 18. I didn't have any real investments at the time. Now of course, I miss my family, but I love living in mild Portland. It's pretty much in the 40's and 50's all winter, except for the once-a-decade ice storm! You do seem so effected by the season. Yes, definately on the flowers... and some pretty art too! Are you having any success choosing any art? hehe..

I'm a navy brat, so I did get to live in some sunnier climes...hawaii was my fave:) I miss the ocean.

Mostly I've stayed here due to finances and artistic connections and friends and whatnot. i've thought about relocating, or at least getting a nice full-spectrum lamp or something....which would help with the moodiness, I'm sure.
(Some of that was a sort of quasi-relationship finally ending, too...I can't always blame the weather.)

so far art-wise....I need to go look some more. I'm torn between a pretty print or one of your bags. I could use a good knitting bag, now that I think of it, and I thought it was brilliant of you to have such handy merchandise!!!
