A small list...
Feb. 13th, 2004 09:08 pmI'm feeling a bit better, though I am still definitely fighting something.
My coworker BabsMonkey may be released from the hospital as early as tomorrow depending on how her tests go. I hope so. It's scary to think of someone getting so seriously sick so fast:(
I have a sign on my fridge that Ben the Neighbor made me, to help get over some things that bothered me mightily. It was based off one he made for Jen last summer, over similar events. What's it say? Classified information, bebeh. But it really does help.
When I came home, there was two wonderful things in my living room...a box from Cynnerth full of books and goodies, and lovely sunlight coming in through the windows. I sat in the middle of the floor and put my puzzle/card together, enjoyed the contents of the box and soaked up the light. Thanks, Cyn!!!
Our new building manager seems like a nice person...thus the happy suprise of a box actually getting to my apartment the same day it got delivered. Wowwwwww....
I have a large bar of super-dark belgian chocolate from the Wedge sitting in my cupboard. It will not be opened until tomorrow.
Mausi's First Cardigan is going smoothly...I've got the first 8 inches of the back knitted, including a couple of inches of gray Kureyon at the bottom and a small damask rose fair-isled in on the left side. It seems to work so far.
I have a 3-day weekend. Much needed, might I add. I think a lot of it will be spent napping in the sun with an Eddie Poe anthology on my head and/or some knitting in my lap.
Soooooo...not overly exciting,; unless I go to the Closing Party after all and have to run screaming from the Minimalist Creature from the Depths of Dolly Fitterman's Front Lawn....or a pack of drunken critics, whichever. If I do feel up to going I'll bundle up like a good Maus, I promise. Now I'm going to drink a gallon of ginger tea and try to sleep...

Date: 2004-02-15 06:25 am (UTC)There's a couple of really good books to walk you through how to make knitted stuff if you get sick of placemats and whatnot. Stitch N' Bitch by Debbie Stoller has really good illustrations for a few things I was very stuck on, and they have good, clear patterns, explanations, and simple stuff.
