msfledermausI'm over at Miss Kitty's place, typing up my resume and making her eat pizza and work on a manuscript. Bad, bad Maus.
But before the serious WP-magic, I figured I'd take a minute to check in again and actually see what I've missed...Miss Kitty gave me a bunch of coooool books as presents--to replace some of the ones that were comepletely wrecked by the flooding. I love me that woman. *blows kisses*
My mornings have been lonely without my Mausketeers...but I have a sunny patch to sit in and read and knit and wake up before I put on my devil horns and go to the Inferno. I'm trying not to get *too* much sun, though, because...this sounds so stupid...I am actually *mutter* allergic to sunlight. I'm not kidding. yeees, it's a pretty damn gothly affliction:P I get small blisters and I itch horribly. Usually I slather myself with coconut oil and sunblock and stuff, and once I get a first-layer tan it goes away; it's really not too bad. *tries not to itch* I mena, it's not even all that uncommon..*itch itch itch*...I know lots of people that have...itchy...ARRRRRGH!!!!!!

Now that I've had some downtime and I'm almost unpacked I have ideas for collage-paintings again...something with tree leaves and book pages and dark curling smoke. I bought a new sketchbook. Now if only I could find my paint.
And the hot summer winds through my apartment feel like love....
so there you are...
