Small bites on a Wednesday...
Jun. 16th, 2004 03:52 pmI love love love it when it's quiet at work...it hasn't been like that for a couple of weeks.
I've been plotting all kinds of fiber mayhem with all the lovely yarn Mrs. Scraggit sent me.
I have a vision...of pink and blue and white and yellow baby yarn being made into some kind of going clubbing dress, something soft and pastel to wear over big chunky boots and black petticoats. Yeah, baby!! I blame that 70's knitting book Pipa Petey got me that had all the sculptural knitwear in the back. And the fabu lady at fuzzybumblebee.com, who has the best best yarn dresses. Most inspiring, I tell ya.
Speaking of Pipa Pete, he and Ben the neighbor are having a yard sale on Nicollet Island this Saturday and Sunday...I guess the entire Co-op is involved. I'm selling stuff too--I have no idea what; I'm just digging out weird things I've made or been given to see what might be fun to sell. (There will definitely be knit things. Maybe those lumpy first-time-mittens I made that look like big black pancakes with thumbs.) On Sunday I'm told that everything that didn't sell on Saturday will be stuck in a big freebie-pile so happy cheapsters won't be left out. Oh yeah, and I have a HUGE sack O' Candy that Mrs Scraggit gave me to share. I've already been forcing it on the Cow-irkers. They're telling me that Mrs Scraggit is in big, big trouble for knocking them off their diets. Bad, Bad Scraggit:) Anyway, my point is that *ahem* someone should come by and eat candy and browse the Weird Stuff In the Yard. That someone could even be you. I have extra peeps, you realize...
And I'm selling off a couple of the smaller ofrendas...jam-packed with glitter, BTW. I have to make new calaveras to go with them. Oh shoot, you know I sure do hate making them happy skeleton people, gosh darnit...*stifles anticipatory grin*
Off to more tidying of the Inferno. In the Inferno, the coffee's always hot and someone always manages to spill a few pots alllllll over the counter. At least I don't have to lick it up.....yet....
