I hear a coworker of mine who writes for Adbusters has got a ticket to the Republican convention in town, and is going for material. We've been joking about having his bail money ready, but the joke is more than 3/4 serious...and the thought that my coworker could seriously be harrassed or even hurt just because he's on "the other side" fills me with Orwellian fear. I guess they're even locking the doors so you can't just leave when you think you've had enough...aren't the fire marshals a little worried about that? I would be...
Otherwise things are interesting. My office supply vendor's being laid off. I'd encourage him to apply for my excoworker-from-hell's job, but it's now been split between me and my other surviving coworker. (Saving....what, exactly?) I've been pretty busy. Mr Sta-Puft is cranky and snarky, but I have ways to work around it while I'm on the Quest for a better job. I'm having kalimari tomorrow with the Emil-y, and dinner saturday with the Synergists, who I will hug the stuffing out of when I see them. they've been warned...
