I've got our work Mac guru working on my little worky Mac. It's been making chugging noises from it's disk drive and started crashing over and over again. (We both agreed it would have been cooler if it just went, "Awhooga, awhooga" and started shooting flames or something. Ah well.)

So there'll be more later, after I save the stuff I've been working on all month. Be good, keeds!

There's that lovely period, speaking as a techie, where you get to pray over the drive as you attempt to transfer all information from it to another drive.

Just keep repeating the mantra "This is not happening....this is not happening," (X-Files) alternating with "Don't worry, she'll hold together ... c'mon baby - hold together." (Star Wars)
