Ranty stuff.

I just had a good rant on a friend's LJ about a mysogenist essay dome by David Sims, the creator of Cerebus. I wish I had time to do the whole rant properly, but the short form is I'm tossing my old cerebus back issues.
What the hell is happening to some of these comics? BC goes from mildly unfunny to hateful Christian ranting.
Judge Parker, also mildy unfully, gets replaced by the Wildwoods, which is Not-very-veiled Christian propaganda stuff, too. (Dammit, they won't run Frank Cho's Liberty Meadows but they'll run this unfunny stuff.) Dammit, I liked those old Cerebus comics. But now I can't look at them without thinking about the guy who made them and what he really thinks about his female buyers. I'm voting with my feet and my trashman. Grr. Grrgrr!
Rick; "A-HA!! And what makes you think he's a MAN?!?!?!"
Neil: "Ah...his beard."
Ms Fledermaus, rationally wadding up her Cerebus comics into little balls, thus reducing stress and reducing space for recyclers. *wad wad wad*

It's a very long article, got through tangent 2 before giving up in disgust.
(It's the Comics Journal Webpage.)
