...I do that sometimes....*grin*

It'll be good to get away from the Inferno for a little bit. We all got the news about our health insurance increases, so the clouds hovering over us got that much darker and colder. And it's raining today...I blame the government. One of the nice things about having a regime you don't like in power is you can blame it for everything, anything...and on some level it's probably accurate. At least in this instance.

I thought of an interesting question to ask you all...We all know what makes us feel poor; we've been getting repeatedly whacked with increases and bad news of all kinds.
What makes you feel...rich? Opulent and happy? What brings you that quiet bliss that makes everything all right? It doesn't have to be complicated or spendy...one of my favorites is lying somewhere in a sunny room, on something soft and comfortable and watching the colors change inside my closed eyelids. Another one is sitting in a huge pile of yarn with empty needles and a big gorgeous plan in my head for something pretty...

Tell me...What is your best personal treasurous object or experience?

One of the best ways to bring me back to a centered feeling of wellness and security is to stop and think to myself, "Right this second, everything in my little personal world is good. I'm not sick. I have a job. I have a home. All my loved ones are ok. Right at this very moment, everything is ok, everything is good."

mine is my little Laszlo. When her curls up into a little ball right up close to me and makes whimpering chirpy sounds. It is sooooooooo cute. Or when he finds a pair of gloves or mittens unattended, his eyes light up and get super huge, he grabs the mitten/glove, throws it to the ground, jumps on it! this makes me smile.... cuz seriously, if all it takes to make him happy is a mitten, by all means, he can havie it!

Sometimes all it takes is a little glance at my wondrous daughter. (Here's an icon I don't post very often.)

I feel downright luxurious, when I'm home all alone, sitting back in my oversized, overstuffed chair and reading anything. Especially if it's storming outside.

A well-stocked refrigerator makes me feel rich.

being in a pine forest on a sunny day is something that makes me deliriously happy. That and the mixed smells of wild beach roses and a fresh breeze off the Atlantic.

I can think of a number of things that I enjoy deeply and am very grateful for. I feel REALLY rich when I am with family and/or friends who love me as much as I love them.

I heard a bit of a poem that I included in my Goodbye at my retirement party:
.."I am blessed with good things and plenty,
My table surrounded with friends.
Your love and your laughter enrich me...."

At the moment, it's being deep into a book about half an hour into the train journey home, and I look up shortly after the train leaves the Muri station, and there, way down below, are wild waves.
