*eats aspirin with tea*
Recently someone gave me a small book with lists and lists and lists of things to be happy about.
I admire the thought. But when I read through the list, most of the things were stuff that I just didn't relate to; "red leotards, the beach at fall, wet babies," etcetra. But I love lists!! Perhaps a more personal, useful list might do the trick...
A really good, funny, ironically skeweringly good movie. "Drop Dead Gorgeous" comes to mind.
Really loud Techno. (Maybe not yet; still headachey.)
Terri Windling anthologies.
Sock Monkey!
The way the snow swirls around your windows when you don't have to go outside anytime soon.
The Ramones.
Harry Potter stories in bed.
Hearing that an employer is checking your references.
A long soak.
Cellos playing heavy metal
A new yarn catalog in the mail
Sock monkey!!
Some really decent ice cream in the fridge
Dragons'blood oil
Digging around for old books in boxes
Being invited to parties
SOCK MONKEEEYYYYYYYY!!!!
Whew! Feeling better already:)

Date: 2005-01-12 06:26 pm (UTC)- red leotards
- the beach at fall
- wet babies
Top of my own list would be a day where I had absolutely nothing to do. I miss them. When I was young I had far too many of them, but now I'm ready to appreciate them. This is just lust from someone who hangs around outside aerobics classes
I almost agree with this one (beaches are best everyone else has left) but the best beach day of all is Christmas day
This one I really don't get

Date: 2005-01-13 01:34 pm (UTC)The beach at winter, I agree...Galveston, Texas on Christmas day is stunningly lovely and windy and gray. but as a Midwesterner, I haven't seen a real beach in many years now.
Wet babies? Wouldn't they cry more than dry ones?
And days off...mmmm, now we're talkin' Now I know what to get you for a present, all wrapped in a bow...
