msfledermausSorry I got kinda behind...I was running around work trying to fix everything that went weird while I was sick. It was kinda stressful--one of my favorite coworkers was fired on Friday. (I think he got a very raw deal and should get a good lawyer.) and of course I got a stern lecture from Mr. Sta-Puft. (There wasn't much he could lecture me for--orginally he told me I shouldn't worry about sick days, and I had given him a copy of my emergency handbook. The butt-covering made me feel better, but he was still displeased. I should cough on all his files when he's not around.) I keep expecting him to corner me and demand that I choose whether I want to resign or not...happily he's been busy. I mean, what could I say?
"I'll do my best for you as I always have in this position...but if something much better comes along, well, seeya!" Or, heh...the truth? "Gee, just the thought of showing up at work makes my stomach clench and it's all I can do not to pull a Fight Club in your office, so I will run like a cheetah on Red Bull the minute I can find another job..."
Heh, cheetah on Red Bull...VGroom...
I don't mean to be all doom and gloom... I've been doing wayyyy too much of that lately. I want to bring the happy to the party. I do! I've been finishing fun knitty things. I plan to soak in peachy bubblebath from United Noodle. I have a flashy knitting magazine...cooooollll...."flips through seductive pictures.* I have things from Ikea, that fabulous Furniture amusement park. I have... A LADLE!!!
Control your gasps of shock, dear ladies and gentlmen, you should not be afraid of Swedish kitchen implements...
But you know I have it if I need it. and you don't wanna see me use it...
