Gus Lucky's went very well last night. The City Pages guy was low-key and fairly entertained by the art critique, and I think Rob will get at least an interesting and entertaining section in next week's paper. When he was gone, Rob made some of the most disgusting voices he has ever done to date--I won't go into it too much, but it involved a phone-sex line being answered by an old lady with a gritty Jersey accent.*Shudder* Twisted little bastard.:) If he wasn't so damn funny I'd smack him one with an empty grape-soda bottle. (Plastic, honest!)
His show's on June 2nd, and I am of course going to go. I can hardly wait!!!
Also, the gallery wants me to bring the rest of the dioramas to show all in one go!!! Including the one that isn't finished!!! *Blush* Yeah, I think I can do that...And I got paid for the doll one of the owners bought from me. They gave me some decent business advice for being a sole proprieter, too. I was also asked what kind of thing I would do if I made something like the diaramas to scale...*Drool drool* Please please let this mean they're thinking of putting me in a show!!!AWWWWWwww, Ricky I wannabeintheSHOWWWW!!!!

I'm at work at the moment. Things are still pretty damn tense around here. But with the night I had, I'll go through it practically standing on my head.

I can see if I can put them up on geocities and put up a link. (I am still so very new to this technology, I'm still kicking off my Bitter Luddite brain cells...but it's slow:)

I know that Rob's work will be in the main gallery,
(It is a one-man-show, after all.) but if all goes well the dioramas will be in the next room along with the other art-critique pieces of the week.
(I'm hoping they're thinking about putting me in a future group show, since they want to see more of my work.) Definitely Rob's work is a treat if you've never experiences him, and I'll be there as well, probably slapping Rob repeatedly for some horrible thing he's said now...:)
