*swallows toast* sorry, just hungry this morning...
My new job looks like it's going to be pretty interesting in a good way. I filled out lots of paperwork, got my fingerprints done, tried on uniforms, got a tour around the building and tried not to drool at the T'ang dynasty ceramics. Many of my new coworkers remembered me from the Inferno, so it was kind of nice catchng up for a little bit with some of them. They have 3 bins of very high-class green and oolong teas that someone gets from the Tea Source once a week. (I'm stuffing that donation can with whatever I can afford. Mmmm, oolong tea!) I stoppef off at Uniforms Unlimited to get measured for pants and blazers, and did a quick run to Steeple People for shirts. I neglected to get a belt, (D'oh!) So I am busily knitting a nice black one out of some leftover yarn, and i scrummaged around in my art-box for a buckle I used to have on a pair of sandals. I feel like a clever munkay, making my own stuff...*knit knit knit knit knit knit*
Today I actually wander around and do the guard-guard-guard thing, with a minder to train me up good and proper. Beats the hell out of lugging mail, lemme tell you:) so I'm rummaging around the bookcase for a good book to read on break and food and a bag for my clothes and that sort of thing.
*Comes across bad Mercedes lackey book* Dammit, I thought I threw that out years ago...but it keeps coming back! Stupid haunted book!!!
