Gee whillickers, sure is lucky I get to stay in today then, huh?

This week I'm working the weekend, so I had yesterday and today off. (I was running morning errands yesterday--food and whatnot at ze Red Dot Boutique. Took until nightfall to realize I hadn't posted that day, and by then I was in the middle of watching "fight Club" and finishing a sock. Oh well...)
I think for a while I'll have Mondays off. Weird and cool:)

Anyway, my point is I get to watch the rain and wind settle over Downtown...damn, do I love this apartment!
And I can catch up on my reading and some art. I have some bread-in-a-can, so I can pretend to bake something. Maybe I'll put on some Cocteau Twins and get out some guache to play with and make my day off complete...

Did I mention lately how much I love indie comics? This weekend I bought a LOT of them, and wooed some friends into the mysterious world of the comics shop. "Serendipity Rose" is particularly good, but when I left the shop I realized I forogot to get #2, and that's the only one I don't have. *siiiigh* Better get my new ATM card soon, so I can remedy this online or something. Want. More. Comiiiics!!!

When I worked weekends on a few of my jobs, I always felt left out of life. It was nice to have a weekday off though.

I feel that way a little, too...though I still see various people on weekends...Just a little later, and I'm usually sitting down:)

After a while I think I can wheedle at least one day off a week... either one would work, I think. But right now, I'm low on the totem pole, so I get a lot of weekends for a while...

Hey! Join the club with Mondays off!! I've always liked it. I have Sunday and Mondays off and I like it....got today off cause *sticks out tongue*- I want to. LOL. Gettin ready for the CRUISE on Saturday....we're gonna love it!!

Feets are doing okay...they kind of remember what this is like, so every once in a while I stretch them out with a couple of Indian dance-moves that help feet; and on breaks I massage them...a lot...

And even with the feets, I do feel much better. I think once I adjust completely to the weirdness of a new environment, I'll be an insufferably happy mausi:)
