Nah, better to wait until I have a day off to appreciate them properly:)

So what's new today?

Another day of workies at the new place, and a concert after.
Shoes at workies that seem to do the job. And sketching paper.
A crick in my neck. *rubs gingerly*
May Day off, so i can go to the parade...woowoo!
Feet that are doing...*flexes one* pretty well.
A mind that is starting to fully adjust to this new, less stressful life. Mmmm...
A new Japanese poetic style I learned from running around the Asian collection, based on the first letter of each syllable of a romantic word...Ummmm...lessee...Anthurium:
A glowing red,
The shapes of love
I love you as the heart loves rain;
under the sky-craving stamen...

(Not Keats or anything, but it illustrates the concept. Ha! I teach you poetry against your will!!! Muahahahahaa!)

Teaching is always good. What is that style of poetry called?

I once thought of a good joke that involved knowing a tiny bit of tax law. I was at home. I taught my kids so they would "get" the joke. I don't remember any response of "Wow, Mom! What a really great thing to know!" But poetry is different.

They're this goofy pair of black thick-soled Maryjanes I bought last year, all good and broken in. The trick seems to be the really thick soles and lots of padding inside.
