The....last.....day....

...After today I have a weekend of Not Working. Of being off my feet and out of the monkey suit. Man, that's going to be good. I need some definite, feets-up downtime for a while to get myself back to myself...I've been trying hard not to recognize how tired and, yes, crabby I've been because of the long workweek. I think it's just the combination of the heat outside and being here so much. (Part of me pipes up, "Yes, but I *like* it here!" And I do, very much. But the feets, the feets need to rest or they will rebel and then I'll be in big trouble no matter how many pretty socks I knit for them, yes indeedy.)

There's a big fat Bastille day party this weekend waiting for me, and I'll get to see a lot of my friends. There's a hammock. There's snackage. I'm sure there will be something silly going on. We'll beat the hell out of some French Revolution-themed pinata of some description. I will be in that hammock, with the feets up and humming to myself, you can count on it. Even if I have to push someone else out...:)

Are you able to wear well built running shoes, or do they have to be something else?

When I was working I was on my feet quite a bit and bought SAS tie shoes to protect myself. However, they don't begin to be the comfort I get from New Balance 1121, with an extra support from what ever company sells them for $20. Of course, you're lots and lots younger than I am and that must mean you don't need extreme measure that I do.
