I had a nice break from things yesterday, running just a few errands and then spending the rest of it painting over an old clock I got thrift shopping. I want to do more clocks, for some reason; there's just something appealling about taking something horrible and hokey and dumping glitter and gold leaf on it:)
(sometimes the glitter on top of the gold leaf; that actually turned out to look really cool.)

Today I've got a long day at work; but I don't have to drag my sorry Mausi butt there until 9...so for a change I have time to post a little before my brain is completely scrambled. *checks brain for scrambling* Nope, nothing yet.

Even though it's still very intensely summer, I have this strange urge to start getting ready for fall...this instinctive gathering and making of Warm Things. Maybe to find out if it's going to be a bad winter or not you have to study the behavior of Mauses? I don't know, I don't know, all I do know is I have a new blue and silver wooly blanket that needs washing, and I can't stop making things like wool socks and fingerless gloves... anybody see anything like this on the Discovery channel or something? Or was it still Shark Week?

Anyway, this n' that, so on and so forth...and there you are.

That's odd. Even though we've been experiencing heat indexes in the triple digits, I've started thinking about my sweaters and boots. Maybe I just wish it was cool enough to wear them.

Yup. I have the hardware now and everything...and the aa batterries. I can make my dream a reality!!! Ahahahahahaaaa!!!!
