I had a great time last night with friends and knitting. Afterward I had dinner at Safari with a friend, and it was suprisingly delicious--I had never had Somali food before. When I got home and cut through the basement I discovered someone tossing out this great Tim-Burtonesque chair made of plaster and pipes that was suprisingly sturdy for all it's fantastic weirdness. I was happy to give this thing a new home in my apartment, where it's now draped with handknit scarves and home to several stuffy monkeys. Coooooooool...

I think a picture of the chair would be an interesting thing. I love Tim Burtonesque type things.

It's really cool, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it...it's just so *big* for my tiny apartment. Maybe I can get a friend of mine to adopt it or something.

I gotta see that chair... Sorry I couldn't make it to knitting night... I can at least hold the yarn and talk and drink coffee or beer (unless my hands are busy, in which case I'll need one of those hard hats with the coffee cup holders and two flexible plastic tube straws...
