A bunch of us had a fun carouse last night...

Some friends and I ended up at the Gasthaus in Northeast last night, clinking huge steins of Octoberfest beer and singing in nonsensical German. Oh Ja!! The Beer! The Schnitzel! The more beer!!! The Black Forest torte!The David Hasselhoff jokes!! The ninja jokes with forks! The Beeeeeeeer!!!

Funny, I didn't even end up with a hangover. Though I now officially have a head cold.
*sneezes into Kleenex*
Eeew.

I've also got a skein of hand-spun Alpaca yarn drying on my shower rod. My first spun wool!!! Okay, it's kinda lumpy and not very big, but it's definitely a start, and I think I'm definitely getting the hang of things. I think it'll be enough for some really interesting trim on a hat. (It's only about 40 feet of yarn or so--not enough for a scarf, but possibly enough for a pair of mittens.) This weekend I'm going on a field trip with friends to a couple of alpaca farms to see if I can get more to spin.

But today, I think I'll just goof off with some tea and yarn and the occasional cold-zapping healing catnap.....
