Why does it feel weird that I'm at work?

...I woke up this morning, a bit late, and as I was getting ready for work I kept having to shake the feeling that it was a day off. It's not. Not even close. So why did I feel that way up to the time I got here?

It's Columbus Day. Postmen aren't working. Federal emmployees all have the day off. You're very sensible to expect it to be a day when you shouldn't work. :^)
