Ms Mausi Goes Hawaiian....
Feb. 13th, 2006 12:23 pmI'm checking in at an internet cafe in Waikiki, after an afternoon of shopping for flip-flops and sunglasses. It reeeeeeally doesn't suck. At all...
I got in yesterday after a shortish and then a longish plane ride where one of the stewards kept teasing me about knitting a bikini. (It was a scarf. Well, it will be a scarf.) I saw not one but two rainbows when we landed in Honolulu, and there was another one today when we all went off to find breakfast. My friends and I landed and got set up at the hotel... within an hour of deplaning I was floating around in the ocean, looking up at Diamondhead and whooping with glee. Maaaan, this is so good I may never go home. I can just see myself at the airport, wailing and holding on to a concrete pillar like a 5 year old...
Everything at our hotel is pink. Pink hotel, pink towels, pink shampoo and beach umbrellas and wallpaper. I'm starting to see the point of pink now...scary, huh?
Even when it's raining, the rain is nice and warm...I didn't even bother to pack and umbrella, and I'm not buying one, either. It just feels so good, being outside in a tank top and skirt and not immediately getting hypothermia:)
So there you are...and here I am...and I will have an extra Mai-Tai in honor of the currently tiki-less...
