Somebody In The Breakroom: "So, did you see any mermaids while you were on vacation?"
Me: "Nooooo, I didn't see any mermaids when I was on vacation...and Gail won't let me genetically engineer any!"
Gail: "Well, you know it's illegal--Bush says you can't have a Mermaid Army!"
Me: "But-but-but- I WANT a mermaid army!!! I want a mermaid army!!!"
Gail: "I said NO!"
Me: "Not even one?"
Gail: "No, not even one, Michelle!"
Me: *sighs dramatically* "Oh, okay....I suppose they make a really lame army anyway, they'd need wheelchairs and goldfish-bowl bubble-helmets and stuff".
Mike *Imitates merpeople-army dragging themselves around in wheelchairs* "Unngh....Unnngh!!!"
Gail *Looks up "Mermaid Army" on Google* "Why did Google link me to Dumbledore's Army?!?! I want mermaids!!! Mermaids!!!
Me:*Laughs self stupid*

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why my job is so cool...

yeah, but this is the Midwest, and even in Minnesota we're a little ways between waterways...and it's much funnier thinking of armed Mermaids dragging themselves forward in a wheelchair platoon:)
